Not to be mean or rude, but when I wonder things like that, I check out the internet first and if it doesn't help me find the answer, then I would make a thread. I mean, it wouldn't hurt to just type in the word DEMITASSE and hit enter and it would tell you what that is.

I wasn't being rude or mean, I did state that in my post. I have posted on the Honeymooners board before, so please don't imply that "fans of the Honeymooners" comment. I wouldn't have seen this thread if I was not browsing the board. Take a chill pill.

I was just joking around. I got a kick out of how we kept on going back and forth with one another, so I would type stuff to see what your response would be, nothing serious.

Ok, let me ask the next question here, has anyone ever tried a Demitasse? I never had.

BTW, if anyone cares, the first time I heard abt a Demitasse was NOT from the Honeymooners, but actually a Looney Toons commercial with Porky Pig. He ordered one.

-GQ--
I'm glad to see someone else who is 28 and loves shows from the 50's. Honestly I thought I was the only one, and had something severly wrong with me. The latter is still probalby true and I wouldn't have it any other way.

cheers

A demitasse (French) is a small cup, literally "half cup", used to serve turkish coffee or espresso. It typically has about 60-90 ml/2–3 fl oz capacity—half the size of a full coffee cup (a tasse ŕ café of about 120 ml/4 fl oz).

Typically they are made of white pottery or porcelain and accompanied by matching saucer. Some coffeehouses and many china companies also sell brightly decorated varieties, and some coffee companies, such as Illy, produce demitasses with a variety of designs. Another type of demitasse is a glass cup set into a metal frame.

Thank You "TV Star", I was about to google that, but you saved me the trouble. I've never heard of it myself.
