I know a lot of us prefer the earlier years ('87-'93) before the show went to a mostly shot on video type format/feel. I would also venture a guess that most of the really creepy and disturbing segments were from this earlier time period. However, the late nineties did have a couple of really disturbing segments. I nominate...
1. The Ellenders - for the mention of necrophilia and the alleged snuff film. 2. The segment about the mother who was repeatedly raped in front of her son after being accosted by two unidentified men while on a canoe trip. I feel that both of these segments fit the bill because of the horrific nature of the crimes depicted. Both segments really made me feel uneasy and almost sick when I first saw them. They are still difficult to watch, and I don't do so very often. Any others? |

Ths first one that springs to mind is Amy Bradley. Is that the girl who gets kidnapped after the guy makes some girls think they have car problems. I can picture her being taken and after the police finding her car on the side of the road?

I agree with justin on the rape one - I was really surprised to see it such a graphic reenactment. |

The segment where the police officer was murdered by Jason McVean and those other two scumbags.

all of these are very disappointing to watch and I hope they get solved. The rape that occured in Glen Rose, Texas hits home with me as it's close to home. She also gave a very vivid discription of the suspects unfortunately they have not been found. I haven't heard of any other related cases in the area as well. That is horrible that someone could do that to a mother and an innocent child. Ruins lives.
another case would be the young girl who worked as a lifeguard at a lake(or similiar) in the New England area. The girl went missing(abducted). the mother saw the suspect smoking....almost waiting for her to leave so he could go after her daughter. This was a chilling segment. Interestingly enough there were other cases alleged to be tied to this one. And a suspect that looks strikingly similiar to the detailed composite provided by the mother has been taken into custody. I forget her name, I'm sure many of you remember it. but if you search her name on here, both the composite and the mug shot are posted. it's chilling to say the least. The guy that abducted women on the freeway? Has he ever been caught or have similiar crimes continued since then? |
