Something funny I noticed about the Jolene character - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

If you listen to the sound of the last word of every statement that comes out of Joelene's mouth, it always sounded like she was SINGING IT rather than just saying it-lol

I actually got a kick out of listening to the last word of all her sentences tonight, very funny

She cracked me up last week when Vera was preparing to get married. In that scene when the reverend couldn't remember what state they were in, Jolene says, "ARI-ZOOO-NA" with that accent of hers and then the reverend repeated it exactly the way she said it, with that twang.

She made her lines so funny. If she said them without that accent, I don't think it would have been so funny. Also, she sometimes shakes her head a little bit when she says her lines.

Yeah, that scene with Vera's reverand was hilarious, one of my favorites of the later episodes.
