What kind of dog was Fang aka K-13?
I looked through a dog book at a store yesterday and then borrowed one from the library today and I want to say maybe a Otterhound? |

According to Joey Green's Get Smart Handbook, Fang was a mutt and
was part-Briard. By the way, the Briard was used as a sentry dog during World War I because of its fine hearing, and some of them have also been used to herd sheep [Simon & Schuster's Guide to Dogs]. |

And why did Fang/K-13 only appear in the first season episodes ONLY?(or did he?)I've heard that the dog was hard to work with.Is this true?

Now I can't remember if he was hard to work with or not, I'd have to re-research or go through my DVDs again (interviews and such) but I do know that Fang was in more than the 1st Season.
