I'm thinking it might be some unused footage or something. I can't recall ever seeing that scene on an episode either, on E!, TNN or ION. It wasn't used until the 3rd season opening, but it's from the 2nd season (it has the wallpaper in the background that was only used on the 2nd season)

Oh not one of those again, so that's in the same category as

jolene throwing plates in the opening credits

al spilling fries on Richie and his friends in happy days opening

Thelma dancing in season 5 of good times opening credits

LOL

I think there was a scene with Jolene throwing plates, I missed the ION airing, so I don't know if it was cut or not. It wasn't the same take as used in the episode though. A few others I don't recall seeing are Flo "shaking her behind", Tommy pulling the table cloth off the table and unzipping his coat, all on the 3rd season, and Tommy acting like Mel's chili poisoned him on the 4th season opening.

Hey, check this out. I found this website that apparently has the ALICE episodes in transcripts and I found a scene that describes ALICE CARRYING DISHES WHILE ON HER KNEES...is this the episode? Check out the parentheses right after this line: Joule: Hi Vera

Nope, that's not it. That's the pilot episode. The diner looks completely different in the pilot episode It is a similar scene though, but she walks into the kitchen on her knees and dumps them in the sink. Whoever did the transcribing for that script didn't know the character names though. The guy listed as "Joule" is Joel. I like the part near the end where Vera says the guy doesn't have any "piazza" Guess he's must not be the Major League baseball catcher eh? (it's supposed to be "pizazz")

Yeah, as I was reading it, my spell check in my brain kept going off.

ION left in the scene where Jolene threw plates at her ex-truck partner Burt.

I apparently missed the episode where they were in jail.

According to my brother, Jolene was throwing the plates at her trucking partner, which isn't how she's throwing them on the opening. He said she started working at the diner to pay off the bill for the broken plates (I had forgotten about that ) I do remember an episode where they were in jail, but I don't watch ION every night (I've already seen all the episodes when they aired on both E! and TNN) and apparently I missed it too.
