Default Anybody else DISLIKE the Pigeon Sisters?

I truly did not like those two characters. I just felt they brought down the show when they were on.

Yeah, they were a bit annoying, especially if you saw them week after week (in the play and movie they were only on for a couple of scenes) and i think that may be why they were dropped from the series

I really like the dynamic that the series took with Oscar and his ex wife. There was true chemistry there.

The Pigeon Sisters were my least favorite characters on the show. I liked them much better in the movie. I just wish they would have explained what happened to them. I always hate it when characters on tv shows disappear without any explanation.

yes, I didn't like them in the show, either. I did at first, but then they just got annoying after 3 or 4 episodes. Gary Marshall says on the season 1 DVD that they got rid of them because ABC wanted Felix and Oscar to be seen with more woman. But, I think they also felt the same way about them

I liked their small role in the movie, though. I never saw the play.

Isn't it funny that we can love the show but disagree about characters?? I thought the Pigeon Sisters were terrific and alwas gave me a chuckle!! Season One is my favorite, partly because of the Sisters..

I liked them and thought they were pleasant, but they weren't "characters" like some of the others on the show ( I really liked Myra & her honking laugh-with that laugh she should have worked for Felix -hey could have done a duet LOL. When either one went at it I'm surprised a goose didn't fly into the room!).

The Pigeon sisters worked out great for that joke in the episiode with a bird's funeral. When Ocsar/Felix mention the Pigeon sisters, and the funeral guy looks up and says "Pigeon sisters ?" and Oscar growls: "They're people, they're people !!!!!"

I liked the Pigeon sisters. They were as quirky as their name. The characters seemed to work better since the show was in the 70's.

I didnt dislike them per se, but did like them either ha. I am glad they did get rid of them. Plus they were supposed to be so "hot" by the way Oscar describes them and they were sure not even close to that i/m/o. That doesnt really matter I just bring it up because of how Oscar gushes over them and then when you see them its like 'huh, really"
