Default The Loner

I'd love to see this western (created by Rod Serling) released on DVD.

Unfortunately it's owned by Fox, which is by far the worst company of all of the majors. BTW, it's not a sitcom so not really on topic. And since it is more than 10 years old, 99% of the posters here would have no clue as to what it was.

How is the fact that the show is not a sitcom, not on topic?

As to whether many posters here would not know abt the show, how does that answer duster's question abt it being released on DVD?

I remember the show. I wasn't a fan of it, but nonetheless dusty, I do recall it. There are many shows from the 60's and 70's I'd love to see on DVD but may not ever see it happen. Maybe down the road someone will see the demand that many of us older crowd want to see and take the chance on putting them on DVD.

The board is called SITCOMS on line. Not westerns on line. Not TV shows on line. SITCOMS. So asking about a western is OFF TOPIC.

As to answering his question, I thought I did. Fox owns it. Fox is a lousy company who doesn't give a damn about any of its product from prior to the 90s, therefore there is zero chance of them putting this out. TV Land aired a bunch of them and that was the only opportunity people will ever have to get some.

This forum is called Tv Series On Dvd News and Discussion and it's not limited to sitcoms, Asking a question about a western is no more off topic than asking about a variety series, drama, game show, animated series etc....

Thank you Charles. This thread that Dusty posted on is abt TV DVD discussion. And this whole board is more than sitcoms, it has a soap opera board, a drama board and an Unsolved Mysteries board, something TJ loves immensely. I would think it was pretty obvious.

There are posts on this part of the board about the Fugitive, Mannix, One Step Beyond etc. I posted my comment in that context. Thanks for the info on Fox.

You were not in the wrong here. You were not out of context.
