I wonder what ever happen to Aqua the group who sang Barbie Girl a one hit wonder like the Macarena. But, this song went to 1 hit wonder heaven seems like it. I liked Barbie Girl I don't know why, the video was awesome even Ken was mention in the song or was that Ken suppose to be singing with her.

actually, they had another pretty big hit in America with "Candyman". They split up and the main girl Lene went solo and became a Kylie wannabe a couple years back.

They were more or less a novelty band, with a novelty hit....bands like that usually dont last long

I agree. If they wanted any shot at credibility and endurance, they wouldn't have released Barbie Girl as their first single. It's like Right Said Fred, they have actually said they don't understand why nobody will give their new music a chance, and I think it has 100% to do with the fact that they will always be seen as the guys who did "I'm Too Sexy".

They were pretty big over here at one point, my sister use to love them, the amount of time's I could of thrown that stereo at the wall when Doctor Jones or Barbie Girl was blasting out of it
