Has anybody seen her or at least gone to that cemetary? To this day the segment scares the living bejesus out of me...
The reason I ask is because we also have the same "urban legend" here in Rochester, NY called the "Lady In White" and the "Paddy Hill Cemetary Ghost" I have yet to seen any of these and I am sure not going to go check it out neither... I love ghost stories but I am not into checking them out... |

Angelina, it seems like someone posted here before that had been there. They said it wasn't an isolated cemetary like the UM reenactment made it seem. I believe its in Justice, Illinois if I'm not mistaken. |

TM, you never cease to crack me up I used to live about 5 hrs from Justice and had always wanted to go up and visit the cemetary as RM is one of my favorite ghost stories, but never got to. One day I hope to though, I doubt I'd see something, it would be cool to just say I've been there. Also, I hear the bars she supposedly touched and burned are still there. That would be cool to see. |

If you click on the street view in this LINK, you can look at the area the cemetery is in....And while it's not totally isolated , it's not exactly in the center of a busy area and is probably pretty desolate at night.

I don't live anywhere near Illinois, let alone the cemetary, but I would love to drive by there if I could. Just to see what you would see.

I have personally driven by Resurrection Cemetery on one of my regular trips to Chicago. I can tell you that it's not as isolated as UM makes it look on the segment. Maybe back then it was but not now. It's off of a 4 lane well lit street in Justice. It's right off I-294. Once you get off the freeway, its not far at all. My friend and I drove by around 10pm I'd guess. We didn't see anything. Alot of the graves had these red "electric" candles on them. They looked kind of spooky but looks like they were just battery powered lights. We drove up to the main gate to turn around. I wish I could've seen something but no luck.
We did also drive by the site of former John Wayne Gacy's house. That was kind of neat, but it's a regular neighborhood now. Just knowing what happened there made it creepy. It's on W. Summerdale right off Cumberland (out near O'Hare) in Des Plaines. You can do a search and find the exact site on Google maps. |

Anyhow, that night we drove to Resurrection Cemetery, it was closed since it was late. I didn't attempt to park and climb fences or anything to get in there--didn't want to risk getting in trouble. Not only that, it was eerily quiet on that street that time of night. I drove the whole length of it and turned around at the main gate. It looks like a pretty large place, and I would have loved to have gone in for a look. |

One of my high school teachers grew up around that area where the cemetary is. She said she knew a few people who saw RM but she never saw her while she lived there and my teacher rarely visits the Chicago area. I read on another site last year that there haven't been many RM sightings in recent years.

I found that dancing sequence not believable. Why did'nt UM ask for witnesses ? There seem to be alot of people in that dance place.
