Question Different character, same name?

Did anyone notice that actor Percy Rodriguez played Party leader "Ned Harper" in the episodes where the Governer lost the election to Senator Bud Reznik, but he also played a judge in two or three episodes as Judge "Ned Harper" where Clayton sues Benson and the episode where Benson inherets the Playbird Magazine..

It's the same character as far as I know. I think it's possible a judge can also have political interests and get involved in a campaign, so I am assuming that's the case here.

I loved it when we had recurring characters. It shows there's life outside the Mansion. That's why I have a sot spot for Senator Leonard Tyler. His recurring character provided nice continuity and added a realistic touch to the show, as opposed to Senator Chapmen, who was seen only once (that I know), but who was the eternal opposition for the Governor's policies.

I didn't like so much when the same actors appeared several times, but as different people. I mean, how many clones are there in Capitol City?! Ex. the actor who plays Gene's friend (the one with the rat of a son who hurt Denise) showed up as a doctor and a Congressman. If I had to choose the one role I'd prefer him as, it'll be the Congressman -- because he voted for Gene last election! :-D

I met the late actor Percy Rodrigues and his wife many years ago. I got his autograph. He was a very nice man.

He was a great actor as well, the episodes he played the judge in where two of my favorites.

He may have been seen only once (possibly twice?) but his name was mentioned on more than one occasion. He was a giant pain in the a--!
