Did anyone notice that actor Percy Rodriguez played Party leader "Ned Harper" in the episodes where the Governer lost the election to Senator Bud Reznik, but he also played a judge in two or three episodes as Judge "Ned Harper" where Clayton sues Benson and the episode where Benson inherets the Playbird Magazine..

It's the same character as far as I know. I think it's possible a judge can also have political interests and get involved in a campaign, so I am assuming that's the case here.

I loved it when we had recurring characters. It shows there's life outside the Mansion. That's why I have a sot spot for Senator Leonard Tyler. His recurring character provided nice continuity and added a realistic touch to the show, as opposed to Senator Chapmen, who was seen only once (that I know), but who was the eternal opposition for the Governor's policies.
I didn't like so much when the same actors appeared several times, but as different people. I mean, how many clones are there in Capitol City?! Ex. the actor who plays Gene's friend (the one with the rat of a son who hurt Denise) showed up as a doctor and a Congressman. If I had to choose the one role I'd prefer him as, it'll be the Congressman -- because he voted for Gene last election! :-D |

I met the late actor Percy Rodrigues and his wife many years ago. I got his autograph. He was a very nice man.

He was a great actor as well, the episodes he played the judge in where two of my favorites.
