Default Jude here is some information about "Checking In" during the summer of 1981

These were the Top 10 shows during the summer of 1981

1. Private Benjamin
2. The Two of Us
3. Nurse
4. Magnum P.I.
5. It's a Living
6. CHECKING IN
7.ABC Monday Movie
8. WKRP In Cincinnati
9. Tim Conway
10.ABC Summer Movie

You know there must have been about 13 eps of Checking In or maybe more because I don't think CBS would have aired a Show all summer with just 4 eps from April to October.

Damm Jude why didn't you hit the record button in the summer of 81?-LOL

Monday Night Football, during the summer? Must have been preseason.

Hey Solomon, with all your original airings I am just wondering if you have any promos for the show. Commercials might be easier to find than the show itself.

Believe me I tried-lol No luck. The reason you see Monday Night Football is because it covered the period from April of 1981 to October 4, 1981

Sorry Sol, but the book is wrong--there are 4 episodes and only 4. And from my memory and other sources, CBS did not rerun the show.

And I didn't own a VCR in '81--dammmit!!! Imagine the treasure trove I would have today--oh wait, maybe not, I've gone through several hungry tape eating VCRS

I don't know Jude, the ratings for the 80-81 tv season for Checking in was #40. So I don't think the same 4 eps would be ran over and over all summer long for the show to be ranked #6 from April to Oct

It could have still reran it's 4 episodes in the summer in 4 weeks and still have it counted in the summer ratings for that season. There was no way it ran continuously all summer long and still rank that high.

Waiting with baited breath!

I don't think CBS would have reran a show it was not bringing back that fall, esp with just 4 episodes.
