Default Haven: 'Jolie cancelled charity appearance to protect Aniston's feelings'

By WENN world entertainment news - Thursday, March 6 01:00 pm

Angelina Jolie deliberately cancelled an appearance at a pre-Oscars fundraiser co-hosted by Brad Pitt's ex-wife Jennifer Aniston last month, because she didn't want to hurt the Friends star's feelings, her brother James Haven has claimed.

Jolie, her boyfriend Pitt and Aniston were all due to attend the sixth annual Night Before charity event on the eve of the Academy Awards, but the Mr. and Mrs Smith stars were noticeably absent from the glitzy fundraiser, which was also attended by Hollywood superstars including George Clooney, Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

And while Internet gossips claimed a pregnant Jolie and Pitt had pulled out of the event for fear of a showdown with Aniston, Haven insists the rumours couldn't be further from the truth.

He says, "Angie is an incredibly strong but also incredibly sensitive woman, and she would always be careful when another woman's feelings are concerned.

"She'd go out of her way to make sure there was no situation that would hurt another woman because of her, and I'm talking about a situation like one of Brad's ex partners or his ex-wife."

Pitt and Aniston were married for five years before splitting in January 2005. Less than three months later, Pitt began a relationship with Jolie, who he had met on the set of Mr. and Mrs Smith - but both stars denied media speculation of an affair, insisting they only got together after Pitt and Aniston separated.

Jolie and Pitt are now said to be expecting their second biological child, although reports have yet to be confirmed. They already have a daughter, Shiloh, and three adopted kids: Maddox, Pax Thien and Zahara.

Default Crow: 'Aniston dumped Pitt'

By WENN world entertainment news - Thursday, March 6 10:05 am

Rocker Sheryl Crow has exploded the myth that Brad Pitt dumped then-wife Jennifer Aniston to romance Angelina Jolie, insisting her pal ditched the movie hunk - and not the other way around.

Despite the widely held belief the pair's marriage ended in 2005 - after Pitt left Aniston - Crow insists she and Aniston bonded after the former Friends star dumped Pitt and she split from her fiance, cyclist Lance Armstrong.

Crow insists, "For both of us, the perceived idea is that, in our big relationships, we both got dumped. Believe me, this is not true.

"Neither one of us has ever gotten dumped. No one ever knows what goes on in relationships.

"Unfortunately, for some people like Jennifer and me, so much is written about things that you don't say, and so many emotions are attributed to you that you haven't had."

Friends have backed up Crow's claim - one pal telling the National Enquirer, "Once Jen saw the writing on the wall, she dumped Brad.

"She took a cold, hard look at her marriage and realised it was irretrievably broken. She and Brad had vastly different personal agendas and feelings about love, career and having a family."

I'm sure Jen is over it by now.

It pisses me off how the media try to paint Jennifer as being this sad spinster, who is still in love with Brad. She deserves someone a LOT better than him.

i suppose claire. it was one of those showbiz marriages that people thought would last for a long time, but didn't in the end. i read stuff about brad and angelina's attraction whilst on the set of mr and mrs smith, but frankly i have no interest in seeing that movie, one bit

Same here Wai but I had to sit through it last year at my ex-boyfriend's friend's house, I hated it, I will never watch it again that's for sure.

although i've never been a fan of brad's movies. if anything i think he is overrated. at least with say, johnny depp his performances have been consistent and whilst most will say brad is better looking, his movie roles paled in comparison to johnny's. plus, johnny doesn't play the same type of roles all the time because the films he chooses to star in, are all varied.

if i had to choose which one is the better actor, out of brad pitt and johnny depp, then i'd go for depp

Pitt better looking then Depp? No way! He's not ugly that's for sure but he's no Johnny. Anyway, I agree with you...I've never looked at Brad as a very good actor. IMO, he just doesn't put much personality or his own "touch" into the characters he plays. Although I did see Mr. and Mrs. Smith and thought it was a good movie. They have great chemistry together and I'm glad that he now has the beautiful child (soon to be 2) he always wanted.

I've liked a few of Pitts movies, Legends Of The Fall, Fight Club, Kalifornia, Twelve Monkeys. As for his look's I think he was good looking but not my type give me Johnny Depp anyday acting and look wise.
