This is going back maybe 6 or 7 years ago so my memory is a bit jaded on this one...
i don't remember if it was some tv special or taken from some comedy skit but from what i remember it featured comedians spoofing scenes from past sitcoms. I remember watching the 'Facts of Life' scene that they did. They re-did the scene with the girls shoplifting a blouse from a department store. Mrs. Garrett was played by a man dressed in drag. Gary Coleman had a guest appearance as the store security guard. Does anyone remember what I am talking about and where this came from? Any more info about this that you know of? Thanks |

That's from a comedy show that ran on NBC...or was it ABC...a few years back...it was called 'The Rerun Show.' They also did a parody of 'Diff'rent Strokes' with the girl who played Tootie on their 'Facts' parody walking around on her knees playing Arnold.
The man in drag who played Mrs. G. is Paul Vogt...he was a cast member on MadTV for a while, and he now appears on the Logo network's 'The Big Gay Sketch Show,' sometimes playing Mrs. G. (If you're not a fan of Jo/Blair subtext, or you have no sense of humor, don't look up 'Big Gay Sketch Show Facts of Life' on YouTube) |

Thanks. The Rerun Show was on NBC and lasted for 6 episodes. It was so short-run I thought it was a one-off tv special and I forgot what it was.
