Oh No Van Halen tour cancelled? Go figure.

Sources tell TMZ.com that arrangements are being made right now to cancel hotel stays for the tour — which was scheduled to continue through April 19. According to the site, the reason for the cancellation is guitarist Eddie Van Halen, who is said to be "having issues."

It should be noted, however, that VAN HALEN's representatives have yet to officially confirm that the remainder of the tour has been called off and the TMZ report should be treated as a rumor only.

VAN HALEN postponed two concerts last weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia and Duluth, Georgia. No reason was given for the postponements, but both were rescheduled for mid-March.

According to numerous unsubstantiated reports online, internal band tensions have been flaring up again as the tour has gone forward. The group hit the road last fall with original singer David Lee Roth for the first time in 22 years.

Van Halen is a joke now. If there are no original members, why bother? Even if David Lee Roth were not in it, at least bring in Sammy Hagar, but we all know how Eddie is with his "love him...hate him" relationships goes with Sammy, Dave and now Michael Anthony. It seems whatever mood Eddie is in, that will play a part in WHO WILL BE IN THE BAND THIS TIME AROUND. Seriously, I have no idea what Eddie has in that brain of his, if there is anything left. I mean, he had that huge beef with David and made it all too clear to everyone how he hated him. David did the same thing. Then they made up. Then they hated each other again. What gives? Who has credibility anymore? Now it is a beef with Sammy and Michael. How long before David is gone and those two are back? Seems to me Sammy and Michael have the credibility here since they endured so much crap for so long.

I truly believe David merely kissed butt so he could have a career since he was going from one stupid job to another without any stability.

Eddie Van Halen undergoing medical tests

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen is undergoing tests for an undisclosed medical problem, causing his band Van Halen to reschedule four upcoming U.S. concerts, a spokesman for the tour promoter said on Monday.

Van Halen has fought cancer and alcohol in the past but a statement released by Live Nation made no mention of his current problem.

"According to Eddie Van Halen's physician, he is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures," the statement said.

A company spokesman said there was no further information on the guitarist's condition beyond the statement.

Van Halen, 53, co-founded the group that bears his name with his brother, drummer Alex, and played guitar and keyboards. Van Halen had a string of hits including "Runnin' with the Devil" and "Panama" starting in the late 1970s.

In August the group unveiled plans for a 25-city North American tour that began in September 2007 and has continued since then.

Live Nation said Van Halen's condition caused the band to reschedule concerts in Dallas, Cincinnati, Baltimore and Raleigh, North Carolina. Those shows were scheduled to take place early this month and have been put off until April.

In the 1990s, Eddie Van Halen had hip replacement surgery and was treated for oral cancer. He also has battled alcohol abuse with a stint in rehab and recently was divorced from actress Valerie Bertinelli.

Maybe Sammy and Dave can get together with Michael and find another drummer.

I don't think David's the bad guy. You have David, Sammy and Michael all saying that Eddie has screwed them over. I think people were willing to believe DLR was just an egotistical ******* (and he probably is) but then when the same thing happened to Sammy Hagar (who has always seemed much easier to get along with and work with), it became perfectly obvious Eddie is the problem here

I did say above that whatever mood Eddie was in, played a part in regards to who was in and out of that band. As for my David remark, he went on his rampage of words as well calling Eddie names and so forth. He was all abt DAVE and bashing VH, particularly the brothers, but Michael did have his say too abt Dave. Which is why you see Michael with Sammy now. So David is not innocent in this situation. I truly believe he and Eddie made some sort of amends, but only because Dave's career suffered so bad that he went from part-time paramedic to deejay to God knows what else. I am sure he has money to live off of, but Dave seems like the guy who needs to have his ego in the forefront and doing whatever he had to do to make it right with Eddie, was what he had to do.

I can't forget the venoumous things Eddie said abt David. I am sure David hasn't forgotten either.

I was wondering if his illness was another bout with LSD (Lead Singer Disease,
Davidleerothus).

The tour is back on. It seems like a bad publicity stunt.

that's great. I was hoping for once Eddie and Dave would resolve their differences for good. They both made their best music together IMO, even tho Eddie did much better without Dave and Dave did without VH (I did like a few of his solo songs, but Van Hagar was better than solo DLR)
