Hey, all, here's something, may have been done here before...come up with a 'lost' Facts episode or episodes...give the season number, title, and as detailed or as vague a breakdown as you want...maybe even some quotes...think of it as a cross between 'things you'd never hear on...' and 'wrong answers'...get wacky or be serious...
Season 1 Title: 'Never the Twain Shall Meet' Synopsis: While writing a report about Mark Twain, Natalie falls asleep and dreams herself back to 1893, the year that Eastland was established. She runs into counterparts of many of her modern-day classmates and even meets Mark Twain when the renowned author visits the school to donate first editions of some of his works to the library. She finally awakens with a better understanding of her subject and her school. Special Guest Star: Hal Holbrook as Mark Twain Quotes: 'I've got a feeling I'm not in Peekskill anymore.' -Natalie, wandering the Eastland campus of 1893 |

they could've done another "Sex Symbol" type episode in season 3 called "Hot" where Natalie passes by a mirror with Blair and Natalie realizes she's thinner than Blair (in season 3, this would've worked, lol) and ends up copping Blair's type of ego

Sadly, I wasn't born until 1985...coincidentally the day after George Clooney made his 'Facts' debut...I just really love the show, having grown up with it...I have been told that I'm very good at writing for established characters (I rock the fan fic, imho)...maybe it comes from that...and I just HAD to use Hal Holbrook as a guest star... |

I honestly don't remember when Jo was chunky. I remember towards the end of s2 to maybe the start of season 4 where Blair put on weight, then she was slim again for the rest of the series, and there are eps where Tootie is bigger than other times, but I don't ever recall Jo having a period where she weighed more than she normally did.

You're right...Jo was never majorly chunkified...I think she filled out a little in the face midway through the series run, but Nancy McKeon never seems to have fluctuated much with her weight...
Okay, another episode Season 4 Two Parter follow up to 'The Facts of Life Goes to Paris' (which apparently a lot of people expected and then didn't get...) Titles: Part One: 'How Ya Gonna Keep'em in Paris After They've Kissed Jo?' Part Two: 'Je ne regrette rien.' In the first part, Mrs. Garrett and the girls have returned from France and settled back in at Eastland. Jo has apparently gotten over her brief fling with David; however, he unexpectedly shows up one day and says he can't live without her. She considers finding a way to follow him back to Paris, but Blair convinces her that she can't leave Eastland now. Jo visits David at the Peekskill Inn and tells him that they have to either settle for being pen pals or end their association for good. As part one comes to a close, a distraught David throws himself from the roof of the inn. In part two, we learn that David survived, but he'll probably be paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of his life. His relatives have taken him back to France, while a guilt-ridden Jo turns to her old delinquent habits for solace. When she does something reckless, endangering Blair and Natalie in the process, only Mrs. Garrett's quick thinking helps to hide matters from the headmaster. In the end, a forgiving/apologetic letter from David sets Jo straight and makes her want to go on with her life. |

None of the other girls ever did get quite as chunky as Natalie in her prime...and there was that one point where Mindy Cohn slimmed down considerably...oh well...yeah...this should be, like, a whole new thread...that would rock...
I feel like a diplomat...or a loudmouth...take your pick. |

If you don't like any comment that isn't 100% happy and cheery and positive, then don't go to YouTube and type in "Facts of life parody", there are some skits that hook Blair and Jo up as lesbian lovers. |

Okay, people...no arguments...just another 'lost episode'
(Apologizing to any anti-subtext people, especially as I've just made a tenuous friendship with one of you...this is a joke, and it's not even really implying anything unless you look at it that way and...on with the show.) Season 2 Title: 'The Ballad of Jo and Blair' When Blair misses out on a chance to accompany her father on a trip to Tucson, Arizona for her birthday, Mrs. Garrett and the other girls decide to give her a Wild West themed surprise party in the cafeteria. Unfortunately, on the day of the party, Blair isn't there! While Jo rides out on her trusty motorcycle to find the birthday girl, some boys from Bates Academy start a 'shoot-out' at the party with soda bottles and banana cream pies. Jo finds Blair on the rough side of town being accosted by some young toughs. After Jo fights off all the guys, she and Blair ride off into the sunset (and back to Eastland) and discover (once again) that sometimes, friendship can come from some unlikely places |
