Hey fellow Frasier fans, I assume at least some of you are Cheers fans as well. Which of the cheers cast guest episodes was your favorite?
Mine is definately the one with Sam, I still think it's interesting how him and Frasier forged such a friendship considering their pasts with Diane. I also love how this episode had the guts to point out the obvious continuity error between the two shows. I also liked Cheerful Goodbyes, it was nice to see the majority of the cast back together again, and see the Frasier characters interact with the Cheers gang. It's really a shame that it didn't take place at the bar, I would have loved to see Marty's reaction to seeing Frasier's old hang out. "Wow Frase, I never would have pictured you hanging out in a place like this" "Well dad, sometimes it's nice to find a place where everybody knows your name" Maybe not that cheezy, but something along those lines. |

I hated the Frasier character until they put him with Lillith, and the "Frasier" shows she guest starred in, were the best of the bunch (except maybe the one she slept with Niles, that was nasty)....personally, I'd have loved to see her in more eps!

I liked the ones with Lilith too, everyone always ran to get away when she came to visit.

Lilith. I always thought the episodes she appeared in were great. Loved seeing the interactions between her and Niles, Martin and even Eddie in one episode.
As for Cheers characters who appeared on Frasier only once, my favorite was Diane. She actually appeared in two episodes. However, in one episode, she appeared in a dream sequence, so that doesn't really count, IMO. |

The episodes with Lilith are my favorite. I love all of the awkward tensions between everyone because they hate her so much.

The episodes with Lilith were great! I also liked the one when Woody came back.

Lilith - although the Diane appearance was good, too.

Not counting the Lillith appearances (there was usually 1 a year), The Show Where Sam Shows Up was my favorite. Frasier's reaction to seeing Sam appear at the station...
"WELL BLOW ME DOWN!" Other cool moments as well, Sam flirting with Daphne (Frasier - "he can't help it, he's a sexual compulsive. He's getting help for it though. Niles (after seeing Sam hit on Daph) - "Did he miss anything?") Of course tying up all the loose ends from Cheers (and doing it quite well) was great as well. All around an excellent episode. |

I like the Diane appearance where she was directing a play she had written. The characters in the play were thinly disguised versions of the cast of Cheers.

I LOVE the Lilith appearances. Esp. her first, when she remembers the vows from Niles and Maris' wedding, LOL. Hearing those lines in her monotone voice was a riot! As for other Cheers characters, I like Diane's appearance a lot. "There is a SUCKING CHEST WOUND where once there dwelt a heart!!" "Since I have no place to write the phrase 'classic denial,' I'll just move on."
(The first quote is from Frasier, the second is Niles, for those who haven't seen the ep recently.)"Cheerful Goodbyes" was also really good. I loved seeing Niles around the Cheers gang. It was great to see Norm and Marty bond too, since they're so much alike. And how Daphne thought Cliff was just fascinating, since she'd never met him before, LOL. - Kristen |
