Default Strange comment by Clair in episode-"Together Again and Again"

As they were getting Theo's luggae together and taking it out tothe car, Clair says-"I think I will turn Theo's Room into my Office"

Why when he was just going to college?-lol Isn't that something you do when your child moves into their OWN PLACE??

That must have been something, that they built later. With all those people living in that house, they needed all the bedrooms they could get.

Theo was out of the house and living on his own. Once you've moved out, it's not your space anymore.

That's not the way it is in our house. But then again, we don't have new people moving in here either.

When I went off to college that was the last time I lived in my parents home.

That's true, Salomon. Some people move out after High School and never live with their parents again. But others have to live with their parents for a while their HS graduation, because their job doesn't pay much, or because they go to college or have an internship. For different reasons, I still live with my parents, and I'm 23 years old. And my siblings would be welcome to live here too, if they couldn't keep their apartments.

Theo had a place to go, it's called a Dorm, Well in his case an apartment, and during the summer he could have worked a full time JOB, when school started he could have worked Part time. Just because you're 18 doesn't stop your hands and feet from working. You get off your ass and get a job. If you're in a dorm you have no bills to pay, especially if your parents are paying your tuition and your dorm fees.

I think that's a lot to ask of a 18 year old

The older you get, the more you should be able to handle. But that should happen gradually. And an 18-year-old is pretty much still a kid. So I agree there.

As a matter of fact, I don't get why Theo almost was forbidden to live at home. Remember how Cliff practically threw him out in the night? He went to school there in New York after all. It would have been much cheaper for his parents to keep him at home than in an apartment, since they paid his rents. But I guess they wanted him to become more responsible or something...

Exactly, 18 is way too young to just expect your child to be INDEPENDENT and pay bills and GO TO SCHOOL
