Default Denise said she was WORKING at a Record Company and making $25 a week?

Doing that sound more like a "PAID INTERNSHIP"

What Employer would HIRE someone and paid them $5 a day?-LOL

I always found that salary to be very much too small too. She wouldn't have been able to have her own apartment or anything, if she hadn't lived at home with her family. $250 a week would be more like it, and still, even that wouldn't be a lot. I guess someone screwed up somewhere.

Even Cliff made a face when she told her parents how much she was making. I find it weird that Cliff didn't look into that employer. But, if it was an internship, than she was there to get experience more so than a paycheck. I never interned anywhere, so I have no idea how that works.

Interns work for free, your payment is the experience and the hope of them offering you a job.

Ok, so I was right. It was the experience she was getting.

I think Cliff and Claire were hoping she'd bring home SOME money so they wouldn't have to still be shelling out money. I guess they were hoping it was more than $25 a week.

You don't get any money at all? Then how do you support yourself? I think we get paid, even if it's just peanuts, for internships here in Sweden. I have to ask my sister. She had two internships back in the 90s.

When I say Paid Internship I mean an Employer paying for your transportation, and lunch.

The purpose of a paid internship is for the intern to have money to get back and forth to the company and have money for food. Interns are normally still in school and not supporting themselves

You work like normal people, you don't have to work in the internship everyday. You can work there twice a week, once a week.
