Why are you comparing ME-TV to TV Land if it's not NATIONAL?

Great question. Because the more word gets out that this station shows classic TV hits, the more exposure it will get, with the potential for more cites, cable, and dish companies to pick it up. The Internet is one of the best ways to get the word out.

I wish it would come here and knock TV Land right off of my cable.

While they are way better than TV Land, they really don't have any of the really rare stuff TV Land ran in it's early days. Shows like Coronet Blue, Shane, The Young Lawyers, Longstreet, Petrocelli, etc. Everything on this list, while good, has run forever in syndication. It would be nice to see the shows that haven't been seen since their original network runs.

Default MeTV

Well, I was worried about what the switch from anolog to digital television broadcasts would mean for those of us that don't subscribe to cable/satellite services.
Then, at the store, there was an almost empty rack of converter boxes, so we decided to give one a try early, before they all sold out.....
What a difference. Three times as many channels, and they come in almost crystal clear. All this for free, aside from the cost of the converter. (The converter only costed $50.00, and we could have knocked that price down to $10 00 if we had wanted to wait six months for that Government coupon)
And MeTV is great! Finally, a station that airs programs in their origional format (i.e. without that extra six minutes of commercial time)
Whats also refreshing is not having to endure all the references to "American Idol", Brittney Spears, Claritin, and "Professional" sports.

I wish we would get that here. But stupid Charter Comm. only seems to want to take off the channels I used to like(G4, GSN, etc) and move them to the higher payment level, and I pay enough for their "service" already.
I am really contemplating getting Dish.
The only thing that is keeping me with them right now is that I can get broadband internet through them and I can pay for everything on one bill.

It will also be on WDJT in Milwaukee starting this month as a digital subchannel. As more stations go to fill their digital subchannels these types of channels will be more sidespread. There are a number of retro stations already FTA, and it would be nice if METV went that route too so that it would be national.

Sorry JT - I was composing while you were posting.

Default MeTV Program listings and website link question

And a good question it was, too. I tried to Google for some information and all I got back were links to Channel 58 out of Milwaukee. I checked them out, and while they DO have a "Click Here" button for MeTV, they are still way stripped down on the subject. Mabe they follow the same schedule as in Chicago?
Television is a giant industry in this Country. Movies and T.V are quickly becoming our main export, it seems. Why MeTV has yet to establish a dedicated website eludes me.
If anyone can find information, that is if you should happen to stumble upon a quality website that posts television listings that do not charge an arm and your left leg (tried Yahoo and MSN, but they both take 14 years to load), well then please post it. Would be appreciated by all of us, I think. Thanks.
