Post Jin's on the road to self distruction

This girl is going downhill. Had to post this. It has to be lack of self love. She can not see herself good enough to be cared about by anyone. She puts herself down, she drinks like it is going out of style which we already know. She gets tossed in jail and she doesn't bother to call anyone. She must of been full of so much self pity that I guess she though no one would even care enough to notice that she was missing....... I can go on about this forever. Her character is just yurking me right now.

I can not wait until next week. There is going to be a big blow out.

i completely agree with everything you said. at this moment in time i don't think anyone would want to be where she is. there is definitely a lack of self-worth going on in her life, and i'm thinking that there's even more to it than what happened when she was little with her mom.

And, of course, on one hand, i really want her to get help... that is no way to live. but, on television, conflict gets you further and maybe she won't get help. BUT if she does they better not make it this whole "ok, Jinny got help now she's ALL better" story line because (as someone in an earlier post said i believe) that alcoholism is with you for life. my best friend is an alcoholic. she doesn't drink now, but she still calls herself one... and even after getting help she's always tempted.. there's always those things that can send her over the edge. thankfully, she hasn't been sent over the edge tho. but anyway.. i'm rambling now. my point was, they just better not forget about it.

and i wouldn't be surprised if Jinny gets depressed. *sigh* wow.. i really did write too much.

Ok, you said how she "Got thrown into jail and didn't call anyone" well Magda tells Kate that she was just on the phone with her and she has the flu or something, was Mag just covering for Jinny?

She put a gun to her head and pulled the trigger. I know... sad, isn't it?

I think she got thrown in jail for punching out the orderly at the hospital and just being rude and unruly........

they said they had to restrain her and she also had no identification on her.

just my opinion

Self-pity's not quite there.....I think self-loathing is more on the mark.

But anyway, I just wanted to say, I stopped watching the Division about 7 episodes into it because it was ok but not great, and since it was on at the same time as other shows I watch, I sacrificed it.

Buuuut, just to see what was going on, I watched it last week and I thought it was great! This show has certainly improved. Jinny and Magda were always my favorites, and next week's episode looks great! Now I have something to watch this summer, assuming that Lifetime shows reruns (I hope).

ooooh, I also meant to say but forgot.....about the whole "how are they going to handle Jinny's alcoholism, they BETTER NOT have her be magically cured and it better be with her all her life" thing....I'd say....don't worry people. Every alcoholic I can think of on TV constantly deals with it. It's always there, in the background. Andy Sipowitz and Sam Malone are the only alcoholics I can think of off the top of my head right now, but it was always in the background for their characters. I don't think the writers are going to let us down on this one.

Here’s a little bit of info. Long-term alcoholics eventually develop vitamin deficiencies, which cause a brain disorder called Weinicke-Korsokoff syndrome (not sure if that’s spelled correctly). Some problems they have are memory loss, confusion, vision problems and loss of coordination, among other mental problems. Alcoholic withdrawal may sometimes cause hallucinations and delirium. (This is just one of many health problems that alcoholics develop.)

Anyways, I highly doubt the writers would bring this into the picture with Jinny. I think we’ll get to see more of the emotional and personal problems of Jinny’s drinking.
