I was never a big fan of American Hot Rod, basically because it was a carbon copy of American Chopper (same format, same style, same workshop drama) but the "cast" of Hot Rod was full of a bunch of guys who weren't very likeable. There was so much tension between the guys who worked there, it seemed like someone was fired or quit every other week.

Still, The work they did was amazing. Boyd's crew created some beautiful custom cars.

Coddington was a legend in the world of car customizers. His legacy will live on.

I'd heard of the show but never seen it.What channel aired the show?

American Hot Rod aired on Discovery Channel usually paired up with American Chopper.

I believe the show (or re-runs of old shows) moved over to TLC when American Chopper did.
