Please, whatever you do, do not show the steamer trunk victim's photo as an answer. Please spare us the trauma.

Yes that one was gruesome.

I always thought the picture they showed of Joe Owens while they were doing the update about his body being found looked really creepy.

Steamer trunk victim wins that hands down for gross factor.

For pure freaky/scary factor, I have to go with Tara Calico and the other kid bound, gagged, and looking at the camera.

Honorable mention to the captured "Liz Charmichael." She should have been singing a new version of a Britney Spears' classic: "I'm Not a Man, Not Yet a Woman"

Ha! I was scrolling down this thread veeeeeeery sloooooooowly just in case someone had posted the steamer trunk photo. Good heavens, I did NOT see that coming when I first saw it on Lifetime. I agree that the alleged Tara Calico photo is the other most disturbing. I get totally creeped out every time I see it and have to look away.

Tara Calico deft. gets my vote. Just saw the episode recently. Horrible.
I also think I saw the "Boy In A Box" epidose on UM...not sure. Very disturbing.

btw: anyone care to send me a link to whatever the "steamer trunk victim" is? Am lost.

I'm still waiting for the "Steamer Trunk Corpse" photo to be someone's avatar some day but I really hope that doesn't happen. I can imagine all the reported posts that would cause.

Welcome aboard LaToyaBoy btw. I don't think anyone has ever posted his picture here (thankfully). It was a story of an elderly man who was found deceased in a steamer trunk. They actually showed a picture of his face, very post-mortem and it was easily the most gruesome thing ever shown on UM. They did it though in an attempt to identify the guy. They did end up identifying him and I believe his female caretaker was arrested for his murder. Here's an article I found about him:

Update:
John Doe has been identified as 76 year old Jasper "Jack" Watkins. It has been determined that Mr. Watkins was murdered by 55-year-old Nancy Jean Siegal. It has been alleged that Siegal murdered Watkins in an attempt to prevent knowledge of her using Watkins identity and personal information for her own financial gain.

"An autopsy revealed that Watkins had died of cervical compression, with corresponding abrasions and subcutaneous hemorrhages on the neck consistent with manual strangulation. The autopsy also revealed that there were a number of fresh cuts and abrasions on the body, as well as a blunt force injury to the back of the victim’s head, which occurred sometime prior to his death. Further, toxicology analysis revealed that Watkins had toxic levels of medication with sedative effect in his system when killed." (Loudon County Sheriffs Department)

"According to the allegations of the Superseding Indictment, Siegel used the identity of Jack Watkins, who was 76 years old at the time of his murder; to obtain credit based upon false and fraudulent information. She is also accused of inducing Watkins to finance and sell his home to pay her credit account debts and/or give her the money, all before his death." (Loudon County Sheriffs Department)

"The Superseding Indictment alleges that after Watkins’ death, Siegel continued to divert and convert to her own use Watkins’ Social Security payments totaling approximately $89,728 and retirement annuity payments belonging to Watkins totaling approximately $10,078.

Siegel also is alleged to have used his identity and financial information to open new financial accounts and divert and use existing accounts. The Superseding Indictment alleges that Siegel engaged in this scheme for almost seven years, much of it while Watkins’ was dead and his body unidentified.

"Through the course of the case Sheriff’s Office investigators remained persistent in attempting to identify the victim and with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigations were ultimately successful in January of 2003 in identifying the body from military records dating back to 1941." (Loudon County Sheriffs Department)

Yeah, I agree with all you guys. I would like to add that creepy guy in the Matthew Chase case, in the photo taken by the security camera you could see him standing close to Matt near the ATM, really made my skin crawl!!!

Well I really don't want it posted on the board because I think the majority of people would find it quite offensive. I did take a picture of it (made me sick to do so, lol) and emailed it to myself so any of you out there who would like to see it just let me know your email address and I'll send it to you.

Ditto!

We don't need actual pictures of dead, decomposed people. Just use your imagination if you haven't seen it but want to.

Nothing to be gained by seeing that unless you are looking for a low-cost appetite suppressent...

I agree but I'm guilty of suffering from "morbid curiousity" at times. Even when RS warns the viewers before showing his picture, you look away but just can't help taking a quick peak just out of curiousity. After all a lot of us must have done that or we wouldn't all know how horrific the picture is, lol.
