Default Do you agree that in season 1, Louise's Bun Hairstyle made her look like.....

Mother Jefferson's YOUNGER SISTER???? Instead of her Daughter inLaw?

Especially in the first ep, She looks 25 years older than George and 10 Years Younger than Mother Jefferson

No, in the 1st season she looked younger than she did in the later seasons with all of those big wigs that she wore. So I DISAGREE

Well, I don't agree she looked like Mother Jefferson's younger sister, but the bun and the way she was dressed, made her look matronly. She appeared younger as she did away with the bun and the house dresses.

To me, her and George looked YOUNGER as the series went on, try posting a photo of George from 1975 and then 1985 and you will see he looks 55 in season 1 and 45 in season 10

When I say younger sister I mean, Mother Jefferson was 77 at the time and Louise looked 64

I didn't like the bun or her clothes the first season. I don't think she looked old, maybe unsophisticated. Also, Louise was uncomfortable with spending money in the first season. By the end of the series, Louise was more of a career woman and her hair and clothes were more appropriate for someone living in a deluxe apartment in the sky.

I think they tried a lot of looks with Isabel Sanford because you have to remember, she was old enough to be Hemsley's mother! In later years, I think she was too heavily made up....almost like a drag queen or something.

I often wondered how often did we actually see Isabel's own natural hair on The Jeffersons.

The bun hairstyle really did make her look older.

Some of the wigs that Isabel wore were too wiggy and obvious.

Some of her clothes in the latter seasons were not flattering on her with her built especially the one's where she showed so much cleavage. The Hawaii episodes with her in the bikini. Let's don't even go there.

As a matter of fact, when Isabel Sanford saw herself in that Mae West costume in that one episode, she said she was not happy with how she looked. I believe she then went on a diet.
