I just saw the first episode with Cora Beth in it yesterday, where she meets Ike and they eventually get married. For some reason, I had thought that Cora Beth was always there on the show, but just wasn't shown at first.
The reason I am talking about this is because I had never seen Cora Beth looking so homely and unsure about herself as in that first episode. It was hard for me to believe that she was the same snooty person she would become. Of course, things change quickly, as on the next episode(todays) she is already being snooty. I don't have a question or anything, this was just an observation.

You are right, what a change in personality for Cora Beth. Not only that, but what was up with the "Mr. Godsey" reference?
Why not just call him "dear"?

Their daughter Amy too kinda changed personalities.....when she was brought back later (forget when--later seasons or reunion movies), she was not the same sweet friend to Elizabeth.

I never liked the Corabeth character at all. I was really shocked to remember that she was a Walton before marrying Ike. It seems that she ran the home in their marriage and she was always pulling him along by the scruff of his neck like he was a meek little puppy.

I do remember her entering the series, so I'd been watching in the years prior. Certainly she was a distinctive character.

I think she was related to Olivia. I liked the character of Cora Beth. She added spunk to the show.

No she was a Walton. That was made clear many times throughout the series. |

Yeah I think she was a cousin to John (distant maybe). I couldn't stand Corabeth. I just don't understand what Ike Godsey ever saw in her. I always thought it was so strange how she always called him Mr. Godsey and never by his first name, I've never known any married couple who did that. And she was such a gossipy, stuck up, and mean b*tch! I enjoyed it when I watched the show as a kid and someone would tell her off LOL.
