FOL was used as a possible spinoff launching pad--though none of them actually went to series. Which one had the most possiblity of actually being a series?
1. Brian and Sylvia 2. Stone Military Academy 3. Jo's Bronx Cousins 4. Natalie in SoHo 5. Facts of Life: TNG (I may have missed some other episode intended as a spinoff--not sure--if so, just add it in). As for my opinion--B&S was TERRIBLE and so glad that never made it. I think Stone Military Academy had a great cast and would have loved seeing it as a series. Jo's Bronx Cousins was fun too. Natalie in SoHo had some good cast members, but I'm not sure if the chemistry was there for a solo Natalie series. As for FOL TNG--why I would have loved to see Blair confronting new issues, I think it was for the best we didn't see the show go on. |

I think Natalie in SoHo would have worked best as a separate series. The cast was diverse and interesting, and many plots could come out of that situation.
I thought the FOL episode with Jo's cousin was okay. But I don't think it would've worked on it's own, even though the characters were great. It was just too typical, and probably would've become much too boring in the end. I absolutely hated "Brian and Sylvia." Stone Academy was okay, and it would've worked. But I personally wouldn't have watched it because I wouldn't be able to relate to an all-boy cast. I think the Next Generation would've been too redundant, being as FOL pretty much already covered everything, and with a much better cast and novelty. |

I think "Stone Military Academy" might have made it.I've never gotten to see the Natalie In SoHo episode so I cannot comment.I think she might have been able to hold her own show.Mindy Cohn was a great actress(after season 1).

I think there were two that would of worked
first one is the Stone Military Academy. I liked both eps they did with the Academy and the actors were pretty good. I would of watched that show is they did it. Another one I would of liked to see was the one with Natalie in Soho it kind of reminded me of a 80's version of Friends. Also I think it would of been cool to see Mindy act with David Spade. |

One thought...since there was talk of launching Jo and Blair into their own, separate series when they went to college...I think that could have worked...although thank goodness they didn't, 'cause some of the great moments for the whole gang came in the Edna's Edibles years...still, it's a thought...
Of the established launching pad eps, the military academy mighta made it...and I would've watched Jo's cousins in a spin-off (had I been alive during more of FoL's first run) since I LOVE Megan Follows... |

Natalie in SoHo. The cast was there, Natalie/Mindy was great, there was good potential.
Who knows what could have happened if that had come through... |

Natalie in SoHo would have been the best, but let's face it....none were great. Wasnt the main kid from Stone Military Academy the one from that Ann Jillian ghost sitcom whose title is escaping me.

The actor is John P. Navin Jr. and the sitcom was "Jennifer Slept Here". |
