Seems like so mnay people have one now, everyone in my family, and most of my friends, but I decided to get one around the same time DTV starts which is next february so until then I will stick with my 24 inch WIDE screen-lol

*raises hand*

I'm using a TV I've had since it was new, back in 1997. I'm a blue-collar worker- I'm not going to buy a freaking flatscreen unless I suddenly come into a lot of money or something. I'd like to buy a Macbook laptop first over a new TV. I just can't justify $1000+ on a TV that isn't going to be heavily used like a laptop.

I want one but I'm not getting one until I need to buy a new one. The one I have now suits me just fine.

Were it not for a fateful trip to Circuit City last September, I might be in this club.

But: THIS was on sale there for $399.

~$424, give or take a couple of bucks. (Kentucky has a 6% sales tax, 6% of $400 is $24...)

Doesn't sound to bad, I would defintely do the split, 222 on my bank card and 222 on my credit card. Oh I forgot about debit cards, i mean 424 on my credit card and send them 222 of the 424-lol

Exactly. And don't you have to mount it to the wall? I mean, sure, it has a base so you could put it on a TV stand. But urg. I'm sorry, but there is no way I am mounting a TV to my wall (kills my neck). I know they're wide because of the widescreen deal... I think some of them are too stupidly wide. At the moment, I definitely do NOT have room at home for a freakishly wide TV. The TV cart I have for my TV fits my, umm I think 21" or 23" REGULAR TV (can't remember exactly) just fine, and would fit a 25" REGULAR TV just fine were I to switch TVs.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this.

I spent about $550 on mine. Which I'm still paying on, but overall that's not bad.

I bought one more as a space saver than anything. I wanted a TV to hang on the wall so I could have more floor space in my bedroom since I bought this freakishly huge bed.

Depending on where you buy it, you can have it hung for you. Or you can set it on a table. Mine is not so high that I have to strain my neck to look at it. Seems almost natural to me.

And to reduce the wideness, just get one with the speakers on the bottom instead of the side.
