Madderest So Cruel

Teens charged with shaving, clubbing disabled womanStory Highlights
Woman just had brain surgery; teens ignored pleas not to hit her head, police say

Sheriff on the charged teens: "They are sick animals"

Police arrested teens in nearby woods after following footprints in snow

Mother wants teens tried as adults because "they never need to walk the streets"

CINCINNATI, Ohio (AP) -- Two teenagers hid overnight in a house and spent more than six hours torturing a disabled woman after her mother left in the morning, authorities said.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said the teenage boy and girl tied up the 18-year-old woman, clubbed her, kicked her, shaved her head and soaked her with water before making her walk barefoot outside in the snow.

They also ignored pleas from the woman, who had undergone brain surgery, not to hit her in the head, investigators said.

"This is one of the worst crimes I've ever seen," Jones said Monday. "They are sick animals, apparently just doing this for kicks and no other reason."

Cheyenne Blanton, 17, and Joseph Nagle, 16, both of Hamilton, were arraigned Monday on juvenile delinquency charges that include aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, felonious assault and vandalism, according to juvenile court officials.

They were ordered held in the county's juvenile detention center pending a court appearance later this week. Neither entered a plea, and both requested court-appointed attorneys. Those attorneys had not been named Monday.

The teens are accused of physically abusing Ashley Clark, 18, for more than six hours Friday at her home in Hanover Township, about 35 miles northwest of Cincinnati.

Both Jones and the woman's mother, Sheila Clark, want the teenagers tried as adults, and Jones said the two could get 75 years to life in prison if tried and convicted as adults.

"I want full justice for my daughter," Clark said Monday. "Those two never need to walk the streets again."

Clark would not comment on details of the case or provide specifics on her daughter's disabilities or injuries, other than to say that her daughter was doing as well as possible.

"I can't understand how anyone could do this to anyone, but especially to someone with such a beautiful, loving heart," Sheila Clark said.

Messages seeking comment on whether adult charges would be pursued were left at the prosecutor's office Monday. There was no answer at a telephone listing for a Joseph Nagel in Hamilton. There was no listing for Cheyenne Blanton.

Jones said the teenagers hid overnight in the basement of the Clark home, intending to steal the car and leave town before an upcoming juvenile court appearance date for one of the suspects.

They apparently missed their chance to get the car when Sheila Clark left the house in it Friday morning, and they went into the kitchen to get something to eat before going upstairs and waking her daughter, Jones said. The pair then spent the next six to eight hours torturing Ashley Clark, he said.

The mother realized something had happened when she came home, saw the house ransacked and called 911. A neighbor also called the sheriff's department to report two juveniles in the neighbor's yard.

Detectives apprehended the teenagers a few minutes later in nearby woods after following their footprints in the snow, Jones said.

These brats should be sentenced to community service working with people with disabilities and brain injuries. I think their parents should also be disciplined for apparently never teaching their children compassion and respect for life.

i think they need to have the same exact thing done to them. so then they'll know exactly how that 18 year old girl felt when they were torturing her.

Yes, they should definitely without a doubt be tried as adults. Anyone who knows better, i dont care if you're 12, you should be tried as an adult. What these boys need is to be put in jail for 200+ years plus the death penalty and once they are in jail, they need to have the woman's parent's plus the woman come with clubs, beat the living heck out of the boys, then stick them outside in the snow (handcuffed and tied down) over night. Sometimes i wish i can be the one who makes up all these laws because i feel what you do to someone, you should have it done right back at you.

I know, i'm so sick of the law/people treating so called "minors" differently for these types of actions. Even when I was 5 years old i knew that hitting someone on the head with a club is WRONG. Even if these boys were 7 years old i'd want them in jail. You are no longer a human being after this type of behavior.

OK, ignore my above post. I just read this over and realized it was a stupid thing to say. I can't believe anyone could be so heartless. It proves that their are monsters out roaming around and it is really disheartening.

You can't blame parents all the time when teens commit crimes. You can raise several kids in the same home and have one bad apple come out. I don't know the story regarding the parents of these teens, but it shouldn't be assumed every teen who commits a crime had bad parents. I have seen some great parents who had to deal with stupid teens. Teens hang around a bad crowd or get into drugs and/or alcohol and do stupid things, plain and simple. The teens in this story should have the book thrown at them, I don't want them to get off easy with community service.

so maybe i'm a little weird, but i looked up those two on myspace and found them. apparently the guy got out of rehab a few months ago, and they have a child together that they named after the lead singer of korn (with both first and last name).

god, they need hearts and lives. torturing her for six hours? shouldn't they have been taking care of little Jonathan Davis Earl Gregory Nagle?
