Default History or English buffs

I'm writing a paper on John F Kennedy, and i need to come up with things he did that impacted/influenced society. Anybody know of any? I'm definitely not a history buff but i wanted to get some ideas so it can kinda help me researching it.

He is the one that set up the peace corps and I think it was either him that set up medicaid and medicare. But that could have been Johnson so you're gonna have to look into that. I'm 100% sure he set up peace corps though

Also, the way the Cuban Missile Crisis was handled you can write about that.

OMG you are in luck I just finished a paper on JFK last night for my college class!!!!!! On how he influenced and impacted society I wrote about the election of 1960, the Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis, and of course, his assassination

Sounds like you put that one together really well, i'm sure you got an A for that one. I just hate history (well, history of politics) and it's difficult for me to read through all those things unless i have an idea of what to read about. Thanks everyone for providing me with these ideas, it'll make my essay go a lot easier lol

Googling on the internet always works and ususally leads one to other great websites.

To many he brought a sort of charisma and sophistication. He and Jackie were one of the few first couples who were good at foreign languages. Jackie wowed Europe with her command of languages and her charm.

As a personal ancedote, I remember a little bit of when JFK was assassinated. I was in 3rd grade at the time and of course we all got sent home. I remember watching the funeral procession on TV and John Jr. saluting the casket of all things. Wished I remember more, but I was only 8 at the time.

The important thing to remember is that Nixon ended it. He also ended the draft.
