I'm sure most of you guys here know who Molly Ringwald is, because she's been in the show biz for a long time.
I was watching my The Facts of Life first & second season DVD set. Molly was on FOL during the first season only, the 1979-1980 season, and let me tell you, it's really weird seeing an extremely young Molly with a Dorothy Hamill haircut on FOL. That's besides the point... After watching several first-season episodes, my train of thought went like this: "Okay, I know she was 11 when she appeared on FOL. That makes her a 1968 baby. Hmm, I can't remember when her birthday is." [checks IMDB] "Hmm. February 18, 1968." "HOLY CRAP, MOLLY RINGWALD TURNED 40 LAST WEEK?!" [cue me dying a little on the inside upon acknowledging this fact.] I don't know about you guys, but wow. It's really weird when you realize celebs who were extremely popular as teens have hit 40 and beyond. 30 is no biggie, because some celebs at that age can still get away with playing the part of someone in their late teens for a TV/movie role. I'm finding it quite unsettling that the celebs who were popular in my decade of birth are (or already have) turning 40. Oh, and as an addendum to this, Anthony Michael Hall is turning 40 in April. DOUBLE YIKES. Where did the time go? D:

You think that is freaky? I graduated from high school and got married in 1968!

Wow, she still looks great at 40. It's funny that Stacey Dash from Clueless is now in her early 40's and still plays the teen role every now and again (most recently in the Michelle Pfeiffer movie I Could Never Be Your Woman).

It's freaky.
But only because we spend more time looking at them than we do at ourselves. I remember once looking at a photo of myself from 25 years before, one I remembered perfectly well being taken: you know perfectly well everything, even what you were thinking at the time, but still it's like someone else. And that's even more freaky. |

I've got Molly Ringwald circa 1984 - 1986 stuck in my head and probably always will. Because, damn.
