Default Cable Channels you wish you had but your Cable Provider doesn't carry them?

I would love to see

The Game Show Network and RetroTv Network. Comcast still has made no moves to get eitherchannel

Since this topic is here, let me ask, you know how you always hear on the commercials, "If you don't have ___________(station), call your cable provider and ask them to add it to their line-up."

DOES THAT REALLY WORK? I mean, I would think if they have the channel/station, they would air it right? Or do they mean, if your cable company gets enough requests for a certain channel, they can add it to the line-up?

I think it does work. Years ago, there was a HUGE campaign to get TV Land on my local cable provider. I must've called like 50 times! We did end up getting it.

The Fox Movie Channel and American Life Network. I had ALN in the 90's when it was the Nostalgia network and the cable company dropped it. hno:

we have all the channels I want. but we didn't get TV Land or MTV-2 back when either channel was decent. By the time we got them, it was around 2001 and they were both losing their edge

I noticed that too. I got cable again in 2003 and was for the most part disappointed in MTV and wound up tuning out completely after about a year... not enough music. MTV2 is just as bad. Same with TVLand... it wasn't as fun anymore after about a year.

I'd like to see American Life
