Default Sinead O'Connor Hates Kylie Minogue's Music

Outspoken singer Sinead O'Connor has launched a scathing attack on Kylie Minogue, insisting she can't "bear" to listen to the antipodean's music. The controversial Irish star - who once tore up a photo of the late Pope John Paul II on stage - was so aurally offended by a recent live Minogue broadcast, she had to switch off her TV.

She says, "I really can't stand Kylie's music at all. I know Australian fans might want to shoot me for saying this, but that would be a far better option than to listen to one of her albums. She was on Irish television recently. I couldn't bear it and had to turn it off."

O'Connor isn't the only musician to voice disapproval of the Australian singer - last week former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown blasted the Brit Awards board for handing Minogue the Best International Female prize.

Who the hell cares abt Sinead? No one. Which is why she lives her days blasting people with her stupid remarks, as if anyone will listen to her and agree.

Hey Baldy, if you don't like her music, DON'T LISTEN TO IT THEN...STUPID!

rofl, I like Sinead and Kylie both, but how is this even news? Sinead is viewed by most people as a hasbeen, and Kylie's last album hasn't done well at all

No one cares, SineAid!
You were a has-been even before you walked off the stage on Saturday Night Live.

if it's any consolation, Sinead has owned up to being bipolar, she went on Oprah not too long ago to talk about it.

I personally like the woman, there's never been anyone like her before or since. It was easy at the time to condemn her for the SNL performance but in years since, she's discussed the hows and whys she did what she did (about child abuse in Ireland that the Vatican was doing nothing to stop). She is one hell of a vocalist as well, and has the ability to do so many different genres of music. But a lot of her work is incredibly boring nowadays, tho I give her respect and credit for doing all sorts of styles (religious music, reggae, sean-nos Irish music, dance music ,etc...) instead of sticking in a corner and doing The Lion And The Cobra soundalikes for the rest of her life.

However, I still don't get why her liking or disliking Kylie's music is "news". Kylie may not be a big fan of Sinead's music either .

The Vatican is supposed to stop child abuse in Ireland? Besides, I heard many reasons for her calling the church the "enemy" and none of them were good in my opinion.

Being bi-polar is no excuse to blabber one's mouth and put people down, especially to the media. What an insult to people who have bi-polar.

I think it had something do to with priests and kids. Sinead actually has become a very religious woman and her last album is nothing but self-penned Christian songs.

I have bipolar disorder too, and much like Sinead, I say and do things that five minutes later am "why did I do that?". However, unlike Sinead, I've never been a pop star so I don't have the potential audience she can reach.

Is it just me, or do I think Sinead would make a great judge on American Idol?

the part that cracks me up is
Quote:
O'Connor's criticism follows new Minogue abuse from former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown.

Brown made headlines last year when he said Minogue looked like a horse.

"I do think she looks like a horse,'' Brown told The Sunday Telegraph last week. "She looks like a pony.''
I love Kylie's music, but that had me since I've always read people calling her Horsey (along with Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff, Alanis Morissette and Natasha Bedingfield also get the "horse-face" remarks) Minogue on other message boards. I never thought a celebrity (granted, he's not much of one) would publically say that.

What has Sinead done recently? Nothing... don't speak on the news! Stupid! Now, Sinead's next move is burning the Pope's bridges while in Italy. **shakes head**

actually, she did Oprah a few mos ago to come out about her bipolar disorder. She really looked like hell though, her face looked swollen. She released an album last year too, but it's one of the most boring cd's I ever heard, AND IT'S TWO DISCS ON TOP OF THAT.
