Who will be watching?

I will watch, althought it doesn't seem as exciting to me as some of the past shows. We shall see.

I'll be watching even though I haven't seen any one of the movies.

I haven't seen any of them either Sonny. I feel like I have been in a cave somewhere.

I will.

I had no idea "I drink your milkshake" was a movie quote, I thought it was just a lame SNL attempted catchphrase

I usually know a little bit about them but not this year. I've been looking them up on the internet today to find out what they're about.

rofl, I saw it last night. Then today I heard something about how "I drink your milkshake" is this year's "show me the money", and all the time, I figured it was just some catchphrase that the SNL writers came up with.

I usually know at least a few things abt the nominees, but not this year. I was shocked earlier this year when a thread was made abt Julie Christie. I had no idea that was the same actress that I knew from SHAMPOO. I thought that lady went into obscurity and was no longer acting. So, my surprise to find not only was she in a movie this past year, but she was also nominated.

I remember her in Heaven Can Wait...one of my favorites. It's hard to believe she's still getting leading roles at her age. Not many actresses in that age range are. The only one I can think of that might someday would probably be Meryl Streep.

As I posted in the thread I started, here are my predictions:

Best Picture - No Country For Old Men
Lead Actor - Daniel Day-Lewis
Lead Actress - Julie Christie
Supporting Actor - Javier Bardem
Supporting Actress - Cate Blanchett (tough category this year)
Director - Ethan & Joel Coen
Writing (Adapted) - No Country For Old Men
Writing (Original) - Juno
Documentary - No End In Sight (I just can't see them giving it to Michael Moore for some reason)

Not sure how I did this year, though. It would be awesome if Julie Christie becomes one of the select few actresses to win twice in a leading role tonight.

If I read correctly, if Julie wins it will be the biggest gap (in years) for any actor to have received a second Oscar after winning their first. I think it is 45 years.
