Oh man, I totally remember when their menus looked like that.

Remember the boxes you were supposed to speak into to give your order in the drivethru... they weren't nice and fancy like they are now.

And remember the packaging... This is what I remember as a little girl:

I TOTALLY remember the limited beverage selection, too. Yum, cheeseburger for 65 cents.

How many things does the McDonald's menu have on it now? Three or four times more?

The price of the hamburger hasn't changed that much. Now, you can get 2 hot apple pies for $1.00. It looks like the menu there says .65 for ONE apple pie.

Yeah - I remember the days when McDonald's would advertise a hamburger (not sure if it was a Mac tho), fries and coke for under a dollar (99 cents). That would have been in around '73 or so. Incredible.

McDonald's tasted so much better out those styrofoam containers. Back then, nothing could touch the taste of a Big Mac. McDonald's taste like crap now.

The would be .45 cents for one apple pie (I checked the original photo). Like you said, though, some items on that menu did go up all that much over 20 years later. 2 for $1.00 is very good.

The fries were better when i was a kid, as they were cooked in peanut oil, back then (Mind you, I'll still take McDs fries over anyone elses)

Wow, the good old days of fast food. Almost a drag to go in now. $1.35 for Big Macs back then.

Yesterday during break at work, I went over to Subway for a 6 inch sandwich,
chicken with bacon and ranch. The price for it was $4.69, but I was shocked at the tax: the sandwich ended up costing $5.90. I thought, wow, the tax on this was $1.21??

I thought at least it would be under a dollar, but this was ridiculous!!

Good thing I didn't buy the footlong! I didn't buy a drink or anything else, it was JUST for the sandwich. It never used to be that way, as I recall.
