hey laverne and shirley fans, i have a question to asked you, a while back i was reading something on tvshowondvd.com and they said something about on the dvd season 4 of laverne and shirley that there was going to be some changes and that it was going to be the final version, what exactly did thet mean by the final version, they did not say season because they have not gotten up the series were they move out west, i was just wondering because i thought maybe they were going to show the sitcome in its original abc version with original deleted scenes and maybe some music, again i do not know does anybody have an idea.

PHE has gotten very predictable with LAS. The sets all have similar packaging now, similar menus, and all the episodes are only minorly cut due to music rights. Don't worry, they'll be unedited again (at least in terms of dialogue). Most of the music rights were actually attained for season three, so it'll probably be the same situation for season four. You didn't really make yourself clear in your question about the California years, but if you're asking if this was the last Milwaukee-based year, it's not. In season six the girls moved to LA. They stayed there together for two years. Then Shirley left for season eight but Laverne stayed in LA for the final year of the series.
