Default Aunt Martha's age

I decided to check out the snyopsis of the New Leave It To Beaver show... There is an episode where Aunt Martha dies... I think that is a blooper in itself.

I think June might be in her 40's maybe when the show starts... I think maybe Aunt Martha might be in her late 70's early 80's when the original LITB airs...

Now it's the 1980's and she passes on... Has anyone seen the New Leave It To Beaver show? Anyone remember that episode? Did they say how old she was?

What do you guys think?

Aunt Martha never struck me as being that old. I always got the feeling that she was in her 60s.

I've seen the episode, but I don't remember if they said how old she was. They had a funeral and Wally and Beaver got up and said a few words about her. I don't recall if it was flashbacks or what, but there was a different actress playing Aunt Martha than the one that was in the regular show.

In fact, the actess playing Aunt Martha in NLITB was the same actress (Irene Tedrow) who played Aunt Martha's friend who accompanied her in that episode where they visited when Beaver and Wally wanted to go to the amusement park and were hoping they'd leave.

So, you think maybe late 60's? Like 69 or something...

June's gotta in maybe between 32-37 years old when the show first started.

EDIT: Let's me say wow!! Thanks for answering so quick!!

EDIT: Didn't June say some words? I would think she would say some words than Wally and the Beav.

Actress Madge Kennedy was 66 when she first appeared as Aunt Matha, and 72 at her final appearance. Since she does look about the age she was, it's always seemed reasonable to me that Aunt Martha was just that old.

I would say somewhere in her mid 60s when she made her first appearance.
