Yeah, right, to get away from the saddest-moment theme.
Basically, any moment that we laughed the hardest at. Not episode: single moment. My fall-over moment -- I don't know why, I just lost it completely -- is this one from "Handcuffed" (from memory): Mr. Furley appears: out of breath, in welder's glasses, and holding lit blowtorch. Mr. Furley: I'm here to cut your... (notices cop) roast beef!!! Cop: Roast beef?! Janet: Uh, that's right, he carves all the roast beef in this house. Cop: With a blowtorch? Janet: Um, that's right, he cuts and cooks at the same time! Mr. Furley (after a pause): Well, I've got to go, there's a rump roast in 304!! |

Several funniest moments for me:
When Jack agrees to be a live nude model for an art class , sees all the students and asks "who are they?" (its the way he says it; his voice getting louder; its just funny). The episode where Jeffrey Tambor plays a doctor--he sings the three little fishys song while waving a knife at Jack and Janet. Jack in the hammock scene. Mr Furley with the brown paper bag over his head. Jack falling off the couch in disbelief after Janet announced that she told Mr Roper he was gay. & many, many more I cant think of right now.... |

Funniest moment for me is the episode "up in the air" When jack takes a sip of that drink and starts to do his crazy dance, I always liked that. I believe that is the episode where he starts petting this guys toupee and says "nice kitty kitty" really funny.

The Jeffrey Tambor moment regarding Janet, the cheese and the whole fishy song.
![]() The episode that had Barry Williams in it. Jack takes medication and ends up doing that crazy ass dance at that formal affair that Janet took him to. That one stands out in my mind and when I see that scene, I still laugh.

OMG "Up in the Air" is just one big laugh riot!! I hate the EDITED version on TV Land though--all the best parts are cut out. Was so glad to see it again on DVD. |

You know, for years I also thought the dance from Up In The Air was the very funniest moment -- it sure did break me up in '82 or 83! But I finally watched it on DVD a couple of years ago and was a bit disappointed. Oh, it's brilliantly done, I wouldn't quarrel, but somehow it was no longer hysterically funny. Still, in memory of my thirteen/fourteen-year-old self:

That moment when Jack goes behind the bar and he slowly brings up his head with that broken plant on his head while shaking that shaker in his hand...

When Jack and Crissy are handcuffed together... A drink is spilled on Jack's date and he tries to wipe it off and Chrissy's hand is rubbing the girl's chest--the disgusted look on Chrissy's face is funny!
