Who would have a shot on American Idol?
I think Antonio might, as long as he learns a variety of songs. He could sing "What's a Guy Gotta Do to Get a Girl in This Town" by Joe Nichols. That song was definitely written about him
After he sings, Randy will call him "Dawg" and "Man" a few times and possibly say his singing was "pitchy", Paula will babble on for a few minutes, and Simon will either praise or bash him, or do both at the the same time. We will learn the voting results the next night "after the break".Helen would be best for arguing with Simon

I'd LOVE to see Helen on there. I bet if Simon gave her a bad review, she'd threaten to drive through his office!
And I can just see Antonio trying to audition w/ "My Goat Knows the Bowling Score." LOL

That would still be more pleasant than listening to Sanjaya

: Thought I'd bump this one up since American Idol has started up again. I loathe reality shows, but American Idol is my guilty pleasure

I totally agree with you. I hate reality shows. There the reasons why we don't have good quality sitcoms like Wings now days because most of what's on is reality shows. But you're right the only exception are American Idol, a few of those cooking shows (Top Chef and Iron Chef America), and Biggest Loser (they inspire me to exercise more) and I guess Dancing with the Stars is ok too.
I want more quality sitcoms like back in the 90s. |

I wish we still had more quality sitcoms too. It seems like everything that's on nowadays is reality, crime shows, sci-fi/fantasy stuff, and soap opera-like shows. Out of those choices, I'd actually pick reality shows.

Roy might have a shot, as long as he doesn't sing The Star Spangled Banner!!

Crystal would be wonderful on the show. She's actually an awesome singer. Her duet with Peter Cetera, "Forever Tonight" is actually one of my favorite songs and she sounds great. I'm surprised that she didn't make it big in the music biz.
