I would normally have sent this in a PM, but I figured that there were other people who may want an answer to this question, so....
I just finished reading your book, "The Murder of Lil' Miss," Shek. I'm an avid reader, but I have to say that I devoured your book. You and your ghostwriter did a phenomenal job of retelling the chain of events leading up to Eaton's trial. Seriously. Couldn't put it down. Thank you so much for sharing your story with those of us who have been fortunate enough to read it. In any case... the book mentions that you had set up a memorial scholarship in Lisa's name at her old high school in Montana. Is this scholarship still being given out? If so, do you accept donations for the scholarship? If so, where do I send the donation? I'd be more than happy to help you keep Lisa's memory alive.... Thank you, and I hope this question doesn't offend you or put you on the spot. Like I said, I would have normally sent this in a PM, but I thought that maybe other people would be interested in the information, too. |

Sorry to respond so late but I was waiting for a call from a counselor that handles the scholorships at Billings Senior High so I could pass along the correct information. You can still designate contributions to Lisa's Memorial specifically and be assured it will go to that cause and not to the general scholorship fund. Information is as follows:
Billings Senior High Attn: Lana Lynch 425 Grand Ave Billings, MT 59101 RE:Lisa Maria Kimmell Scholarship Fund The scholarship is perpetual and presented every year in the later part of May. The dollars for each scholarship is not huge but every little bit helps. Then, thank you for sharing your comments about the book. My co -author / Ghostwriter can be credited for nearly all the research on Dale Eaton. We argued at great length about how much print would be devoted to him. I was strongly opposed, telling her I didn't want a damned thing to with it. She persuaded me that from a readers point of view it was importnant to include. She was also a great help in organizing the massive amount of information that we had to pass along. Thanx so much again. Shek |
