Something I Noticed About Mr. Kotter in the First Season

I just finished watching Season 1 and I noticed that Mr. Kotter made a couple of dirty jokes about some of the female students during the first season.

In "The Great Debate" right before the Sweathogs get ready to debate the other class Hotsie Totsie is wearing a cheerleaders uniform and rooting for the Sweathogs and Mr. Kotter tells her to "give it to him later". He says it again to her a little later and this time Mr. Woodman is there and the look on his face says it all.

In "California Dreamin" the new female sweathog Bambi develops a crush on Gabe and when Mr. Kotter returns home from school his wife tells him that a woman named Bambi called and asked if Gabe could go skinny dipping with her. Mr. Kotter then says to his wife "Can I go with her?"

Then in "Barbarino's Girl" when Barbarino is ready to leave the tudoring session before it ever starts so he can go meet his girlfriend Princess behind the billboard on 84th Street Mr. Kotter stops him and says that Barbarino is gonna stay put and that Kotter is going to meet Princess behind the billboard on 84th street.

So was Mr. Kotter a dirty old man or not? There's no way a high school teacher on a tv show could get away with saying those things about a female student today.

Yeah it defintely said it more than once and I laughed everytime.
