Default My Advice to anyone who uses a debit card, CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY

Tonight it happened to me again, and it looks like it's the bank's fault. I bought a DVD for $42.79 and when I got home to check my account, i was charged $42.79 TWICE like I was when I paid $9.50 at the Movies.

So I just took everything back to the store because I won't be able to find out about the extra $42.79 charged to my account until Tuesday and I just didn't have the energy to open up the DVD and enjoy them.

I hope Banks are not secretly stealing money

Go back to that other thread. I told you to check with your bank. There was no way the theater would have charged you twice since they already had given you a receipt showing you paid ONCE. If you had talked to the bank in the first place, you wouldn't be here now posting this. I'd be upset if my bank pulled that on me.

i use a debit card and i can't rely on it. my money has been randomly disappearing and reappearing on its own ever since i opened this borderline worthless account, before it was even possible that i could have had my identity stolen.

Could be and maybe you should consider changing banks.

Yes sir. That could be groceries. Or half of groceries.

I went to the bank today and I was told that one of the $42.79 will fall off by tuesday on top of getting the refund for the DVD I returned.

My new Rule-"No more purchases off my Debit card when the price is over $20.00. I will just use my credit card and just send that money to the credit card company when I get home
