actually, Christina's seemed to be classy for the past 2 or 3 years. At least nothing like how she was in the Dirrty days

However, how can you dislike Tina or even (despite the fact she has an unappealing ego) Aretha? Those two set the standard for all divas to come. I mean, if you like the divas of the 80's and 90's, that includes Aretha and Tina since both of them scored hits well into the Clinton administration. Tina held her own against Janet and Madonna on the charts in the 80's.

Hey, Christina owes it to Tina, Aretha and especially Etta for the road they paved in the music business. to the original ladies of Soul, Rock and Blues.

I love Christina, I hope she continues on the right path with her music and her personal life.

I like Christina, too, but I wouldn't call her a legend. Not just yet. Now if she keeps going the way she is, I can definitely see her becoming a legend somewhere down the road.

I think Christina needs a few more albums before becoming a legend.

Beyonce is the legend to emerge in the past 10 years IMO. She's had more staying power than Britney (and more ability to not succumb to pressure) and she's more prolific than Christina whose only released three "real" albums (not counting the Xmas and Spanish albums), plus she's just as good of a singer.

^It's all about quality not quantity. Beyonce's albums are usually superficial crap... her work is forgettable (with the exception of "Crazy In Love.") Christina in the other hand releases classics, near masterpieces. Stripped and Back to Basics are two of the best albums from this decade.

Her most recent pictures...

Not trampy... at all.

But to be honest with you, I actually her trampy look better. Back in 2001-2004, she appeared to be fierce, strong, empowering, different. She's a bit too mellow now, but then again, she is 26 now.

Motherhood also mellows people out. Those pictures are beautiful. That baby, wow. And those dogs are adorable. Christina is perfect looking. Her guy's nice looking too. Unless I missed it, I don't recall any negative press about her. That indicates to me that she's got a good head on her shoulders. The fact that she's well-grounded and drama-free just about guarantees longevity in the business. No distractions to derail her career.

I'm going to listen to a few of those links you posted. I honestly don't know much about her. My brother is a big fan. He always got frustrated back in the day, when it was sort of a question of who was better, Britney or Christina. He said that she was a better performer than Britney, dancing and all that, as well as a better singer.

Yeah, it seemed to me that a few years ago, Britney was alot more popular than Christina, although Christina was really well known, too. Now these days, things between the 2 of them couldn't be more different. I can see Christina still going strong, but poor Britney will never get back what she had before.

Maybe the reason that in my opinion Britney was more popular is because of all the crazy things she started doing even a few years ago, and not because of the music. Christina just lives her life, and doesn't go marry somebody for 55 hrs., attack a car with an umbrella, or go shaves her head!!

I think the main reason Britney and Christina were compared endlessly at the start was because they were both pretty blonde teenage girls who got their start in the Mickey Mouse Club and both made their big debuts at the same time. Besides that, they couldn't be more different. Britney is about being a celebrity, Christina is about being a singer and performer.

By the time Christina released "Stripped", all comparisons to Britney were over and done with, totally different artists IMO. Christina is much more talented, even tho Britney fans always use the "well, Britney sold more" excuse about why they think she's better than Xtina.
