Default Regarding The TV Special With Lucille Ball and John Ritter...

I wanted to know if it was ever put on any of the Three's Company DVDs. Thanks.

I thought it was kind of funny that Lucille Ball was such a fan of Three's Company, and all of it's sexual innuendos, when her own show, I Love Lucy, didn't allow any of that stuff. Back in the 50's, you couldn't show a married couple in bed together (even fully dressed and on top of the covers); heck; I don't think you could've even said the word "pregnant" back then on a TV show. Shows how much the mainstream had become liberated in a span of 25 years or so!

TV has come a long way since then. Even watching Three's Company now I can't believe they got away with all the sexual inuendos, drug references, etc, especially for the time slot they were in back then.

You absolutely could not say pregnant during I love Lucy you had to say expecting. My how times have changed.

What was the first show to have people in the same bed? I know it had to be before TC.

^ Mary Kay and Johnny. Leave it to Beaver was the first to show a toilet and All in the Family was the first to hear a toilet flush on national television

Lucy was a fan of TC because of the physical comedy John did. Something Lucy was famous for and also Buster Keaton, someone Lucy admired and paid tribute to by following in Buster's footsteps as far as making people laugh with physical stuff. Lucy had said that John was a master of physical comedy.

By 1969 when "The Brady Bunch" premiered, Mike and Carol were sharing
a bed.
