Default Three Fun Things To Do In Your Town or City

It occured to me that everyplace probably has fun stuff to do. Here are three from mine. Have to admit I'm from a BIG city so it's very easy to come up w three.

1. Eddie's Sweet Shop - Forest Hills, Queens A real old-fashioned ice cream shop where they make their own ice cream. And they make a great pistachio. A fun place to take a date too.

2. The Painted Pot - Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn You paint bisqueware and the store glazes and kilns it for you. There are similar places in Manhattan but they are more $$$ and the PP is just as nice. Great for kids & dates. Be forewarned-it's addicting.

3. A round trip on the Staten Island Ferry. Can't beat the price. $0.00 You get a great view of the skyline of the city. Fun for kids & dates. If you get off in Manhattan think about touring the Stock Exchange on Broad St, walking around Wall St, and maybe stopping off @ the 120 B'way McDonalds--which is very upscale with someone playing the piano and ticker tape on a wall. Not so much for a date but educational for kids (fun too)

1. Go down to the river (my town literally sits right by the Missouri River - there are houses down there and everything).
2. Water park/go-kart/golf course in the summer - it's not OMGHUGE or anything, but you can be easily entertained for the afternoon there.
3. Go cruising around town.

Uh....I know there are probably things other people find interesting...

1. We have a large, upscale mall. Big woo.
2. See some minor league sporting events. Hockey, basketball, arena football, or baseball.
3. There are some neat, old houses in town that people have been fixing up.
4. We have a giant cemetary with people/headstones from the 1800s. If you like old cemetaries, it's a good one.
5. During the summer, they have live music down by the river.
6. There's a nice lake that many people run/walk at. Looks nice in the summer.
7. There's an amusement park and several pools/water parks.
8. We have an indoor tropical garden. Feels like Hawaii in there in the middle of the winter.
