Default Was James out of his mind when he asked the Reverend this question in season 1 ep?

The Reverend wanted to give him a Job traveling with him around the country and james response was

"I don't know, I have a good Job now. Do you think you can beat $2.50 an Hour?

HUH?-lol

I know it sounds bad.

I am sure James wasn't expecting the reverend to say that the job would pay $100 a day. He probably thought it would be a minimum wage job and it wouldn't be worth it to travel and leave the family.

Yeah, that's true. He should have said that.

To be serious, I think James said that line to remind the audience just how much he was being paid so when the reverend said $100 a day, it would show just how much James would want the job. And how silly it was for Flo to try and stop him AGAIN.

Beats me. How funny is it to have the only tv in the house blow up?

It was funny just seeing it blow up when the reverend was talking, but overall, the poor Evans' had no tv.

Later on in another season we see they have that huge television that J.J. rolls away to the pawn shop, but he gets robbed...I wonder how long it took them to get that t.v.? They must have bought that one dirt cheap at some thrift store or something because when J.J. was wanting to take it to the pawn shop, Florida rambled on abt how the bad the t.v. really was.

In this episode, Michael asks Florida when are they gonna get a color TV. Florida says, "We don't need no color TV. We know the sky is blue and the grass is green."

I thought that was a good answer, but when the reverend was on the TV, what color was that JACKET he was wearing?

Not the jacket when the Rev. came to the house, that is same one that George had on, but the one when they showed him on the black and white TV.

I know, I was just saying that the Jacket the reverend had on when he came to the house is the same one George had on 3 years later on a ep of the Jeffersons
