Disney to unveil American Idol attraction - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Walt Disney World might be the happiest place on earth, but now it's going to be the poppiest, too. Disney announced today that the resort will be getting an American Idol attraction at the resort later this year.

Disney's not only bringing the show to the park, but it will also be sending park guests to the show. The new attraction will be set up just like the TV show, where eligible participants will audition in Idol-like formats throughout the day. They'll also get vocal coaching and some hair and makeup (which apparently even some actual show contestants miss out on), plus scores from three judges. Winners of each show perform in a grand finale, and ultimately can win spots in regional auditions for the TV series.
