Madderest Man jailed in Germany for squashing wife to death

Reuters - Wednesday, February 6 06:37 pm

BERLIN (Reuters) - A man in Germany was jailed for five years on Wednesday after he sat on his wife during a domestic dispute and squashed her so badly that she later died.

The 128-kg (282-pound) man "sat on his wife's chest for at least two minutes and broke her ribs in 18 places", said Jan-Michael Seidel, a spokesman for the court in the northern town of Hildesheim. "It was quite deliberate."

The woman, who was half her husband's weight, died from her injuries less than a month later.

The 50-year-old man was charged with grievous bodily harm leading to death.

He told the court he had accidentally fallen on his wife after trying to drag her into another room during the fight. Forensic evidence showed this was untrue.

Whenever people commit a murder (or attempted murder or rape or any of those bad things) they need to do the exact same things they did to the victim to the murderer, and more. So basically if they sat on their wife, they need someone or some people to sit on him. After the abuse, send them to the electric chair. You kill someone, you deserve to be killed, too.

Sadly, Germany does not have the death penalty, since they are a member
of the European Union.

When he goes to prison someone needs to sit on him since there is no death penalty

exaaaactly. people who commit crimes need to be punished the same way their victims were.

and that is just...so wrong. first, he kills his wife. and then he gets five years? ONLY five years for committing murder? i was thinking...life in prison. even if germany doesn't have the death penalty, he KILLED someone. he needs to be in jail for way more than five years. waaaay more.

i totally agree with you, in regards to the leniency of that sentence. 5 years is a joke. in any other country he would've been stoned to death or had the crap beaten out of him
