Fans of TC know abt the two-part episode where Lucille Ball appeared and hosted a retrospective of TC.
I once seen an interview where Lucy talked abt how she loved John Ritter, not only as a person, but the for laughs he brought back to television by using physical comedy, comparing him to Buster Keaton. While searching for something else I came across this small bit of information and wanted to share it with you all. It is great knowing how John made such an impact on the greatest lady of sitcom television. It comes from an article discussing Lucy's ill-fated return to television called LIFE WITH LUCY: "Lucy had more fun with John Ritter than with anybody. On that week, Lucy called it 'Ritter-itis' because he kept making her laugh. During the actual filming he broke her up. She had to say 'Cut!' She said that was only the third time in her life while filming a show that she actually had to say 'Cut' because she was laughing so hard. It was not like her." http://www.tvparty.com/movlucy4.html |

That special is definitely a classic. I enjoy it more everytime I see it. I'm glad Lucy and John had such a great time filming it!

I think it would of been great if they added Lucille Ball to the cast of Three's Company. She could of played a girlfriend to Ralph Furley.

Those eps are my least favorite and should have never been in syndication since they are not actual episodes. I used to cringed everytime it was on the schedule because they are the worst. You see none of the cast members, juts Lucille ball talking for 95 % of the episode by herself and then Ritter appears at the every end. That is truly the GRAVY STAIN moment of season 6-lol

I did not like those episodes either but Lucille Ball was right on the nose with John Ritter. I love his physical comedy. I used to have the biggest crush on him when I was younger. I guess I still do

I think some of you are mistaken. The quote from Lucille Ball is referring to the second episode filmed for her short-lived sitcom LIFE WITH LUCY that featured John Ritter. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0632167/
She is stating how she had laughed so hard while filming that episode she had to yell, "Cut" which was a rarity for her to do that ever since Lucy had been doing television. Here is a video of the promo for that episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2IcR...eature=related |

^^^I knew you did Pav. I guess everyone here remembers that retrospective and forgot abt Lucy's short-lived show and John being on it.

When I think that this post was not for the Three's Company and more for the Life with Lucy Board because that's why some of us thought about the Retrospective Episode

There is no LIFE WITH LUCY board, which is why I posted it here. It has to do with John Ritter and he was on Three's Company.
I did mention it in my first post that her comment came from the show LIFE WITH LUCY, but I guess that got overlooked. |

As a matter of fact, I did post this same thing (with the whole article) on the I LOVE LUCY board. It was then I thought I would share this tidbit with TC fans. I thought they would like to read that small part of the article.
