Heres the premise:
The Connors never won the lottery.
Dan did have an affair.
Bev did come out the closet
The final episode showed the family gathering around the baby as the phone rings. Roseanne answers it and has a look of shock on her face telling Dan to come to the phone.....

Remorse and Stuff

(Scene: Interior; Connor House. The gang is in the living room talking, while Dan is seen off in the corner of the kitchen on the phone. He ends up slamming the phone and walking into the living room and sitting in his chair)

Dan
I need everyone to leave

Nancy-
Is everything okay Dan?

Dan-Please just leave i need to talk to Rosie alone.

(Everyone gets up and heads to the door)
Leon- (turning around)
If you need anything, call.... Crystal.
Bev- (Still sitting)
Thank god there gone
Roseanne-
Mom, I'll call you tomorrow
Bev- (Standing up)
Well i can tell when I'm not wanted, I'll just go to Jackies
(Bev leaves angrily)
Dan-
I can't believe this
Roseanne- I know, poor Jackie
Dan- No Roseanne be serious
Roseanne-
Wow, that call must of really shaking you, is everything ok?
Dan-
It was Crystal
Roseanne-
What, are they coming to town or something?
Dan-
No, my dad had a heart attack.
Roseanne-
Oh my god, is he ok?
Dan-
He didn't make it, he died this morning.
Roseanne-
I'm so sorry Dan, I'll arrange to go to the funeral tomorrow.
Dan-
I don't want to go Rosie, I'm not upset because he's gone, hell I'm relieved.
Roseanne-
I can't believe you Dan Connor, aft...
Dan- (cutting off Roseanne)
Don't start on me, you know how that man treated my family, how he treated my mom I mean nothing has changed, he wont be around, nothing new there. (Dan gets up and walks to the front door)
Roseanne-
Where are you going?
Dan-
I'm going for a drive
Roseanne-
You know it bothers you Dan, you don't have to go through this alone
Dan-
Rosie, just don't I'm fine, never fealt better actually.
(Dan walks out the door; Darlene enters the living room)
Darlene-
Is everything ok mom?
Roseanne-
I'm not sure, your grandpa died this morning.
Darlene- (sitting next to Roseanne now)
Oh wow, hows dad handling it?
Roseanne-
He's not, he wont even go to the funeral.
Darlene-
Is there anything me and David can do?
Roseanne-
I don't know, it'll just take time for your dad to come around I'm sure, you remember how it was when my dad died.
(Flashback to Roseanne talking to her dads casket at his funeral)
Darlene-
Wow, i forgot all about that, do you think he'll come around like you?
Roseanne-
I can only hope
(David comes to the living room from upstairs)
David-
Ok, I have Harris in bed, you still want to go to the movies?
Darlene-
No, I'm gonna stay here with mom
Roseanne-
You don't have to do that, you guys go out, you deserve it.
Darlene-
Are you sure mom, we can always go another night.
Roseanne-
No, you guys go, i need to speak to your dad alone when he gets back anyways.
Darlene-
Ok, David go get the car
David-
Sure (David leaves out the front door)
Darlene-
If you need anything at all just call us.
Roseanne-
I'll be fine, ohh do you have the camcorder with you?
Darlene-
Yeah, it's still in the car.
Roseanne-
Good, it's been a while since i saw a new release.
Darlene-
No problem mom

(Scene: Interior: Mark and DJ sit at the kitchen table looking at the paper, Dan walks in just coming back from his trip)

Dan-
DJ why are you still up? You have school tomorrow

DJ-
I was helping Mark look at apartments

Dan-
Why are you looking for apartments Mark? The trailer is working fine for you and Becky after i did all that work.

Mark-
Well, uhhh, you see, what happened was, there was a, she, I, we

Dan- (Not taking his eyes off Mark)
DJ go to bed

DJ-
But

Dan- (YELLS)
DJ GO

(DJ exits the kitchen, Dan sits at the head of the table)

Mark-
I should be getting home too

Dan-
Ohh no Mark sit, we haven't talked in a long long time.

Mark-
I can outrun you

Dan-
But not my wife, i could get her if you like

Mark-
I'll stay

Dan-
So when were you going to tell us?

Mark-
About the new house?

Dan- (Fake laugh)
No about her being pregnant.

Mark-
She wanted to wait 'till you people got tired of Darlenes baby.

Dan-
Well guess what, tomorrow you two are coming over here for the dinner and you're telling the whole family, got me.

Mark-
Yes sir

Dan-
Don't forget i know where you live.

Roseanne- (walking into kitchen)
Yeah, the same place you live Dan

Dan-
What

Roseanne-
Becky told me today

Dan-
And you didn't tell me?

Roseanne-
Leave Mark

Dan-(Mark gets up)
Stay Mark (mark sits down) Why wasn't i told?

Roseanne-
Because you were too busy driving around feeling sorry for yourself, i couldn't possibly interrupt that with good news. Leave Mark

Dan-(Mark gets up)
Sit Mark (Mark sits) I think i should be let in on what happens in my family.

Roseanne-
Why so you can be stressed out again? Have another heart attack maybe, want to kill Mark (Mark gets up) SITDOWN MARK (Mark sits) maybe you'll run again from it like you're doing your dad. Why not just go back to California and have another affair, that solved all your problems last time.

Dan-
Leave Mark (Mark gets up and stand there for a second)

Roseanne-
He said leave Mark

Mark-
I don't know what this damn family wants anymore (Mark leaves the kitchen)

Dan-
So thats it now, because of that I'm what black balled from family news?

Roseanne-
You're the one who decided to run away today not me, look in the mirror if you need someone to be mad at.

Dan-
You know what, i tried Roseanne, i tried so damn hard, but (Long pause)

Roseanne-
But what Dan, you can run from your life all you want Dan Connor, but i wont let you guilt trip me into following you.

Dan-
Get off my back Roseanne, NOW

Roseanne-
Can't handle it Dan

(Dan turns around and back hands Roseanne)
Dan-
Oh my god Rosie

Roseanne-
Get the hell out of here now.....NOW!!!!!!

(Dan goes to say something but leaves instead; Darlene runs into the kitchen and sees her mom crouched on the floor)
