Actor Patrick Swayze underwent surgery in California over the weekend. The actor checked into the Stanford University Medical Center for a serious "gastro-intestinal procedure", according to the New York Post.

Sources tell the newspaper he has since been released, with his spokesperson confirming the 55-year-old is now "home and happy".
