Question About Richard Thomas Real Father

I saw a magazine article many years ago that had a picture of who I first thought was Richard Thomas.
The caption below the picture said "Richard Thomas father of the Walton's John Boy".

I have always wondered if the person in the picture was Richard Thomas or his father.

If it was his father they had to be identical twins!
I dismissed it as a mistake the magazine made but I have always wondered.
Does anyone have a picture of Richard Thomas's Real Father?

I've always wondered myself who does Richard Thomas favor(meaning look like) his mother or Father.

I read an article about Richard around the time the series first aired and he had a sister Bronwyn who involved in ballet and Richard says she does better than mother. So I guess his parents were in the dance arts too..
